The Transaction Cycle

Kasu processes Lending Requests and Withdrawal Requests in weekly batches called Transaction Cycles. Each cycle runs for one week and closes every Tuesday at 6:00 am UTC. The app shows a countdown to the next close. Requests submitted during a cycle are Queued to it.

After the close, the 48 hour processing period begins. During it, your request shows as Processing rather than Completed, and it is normal not to see your loan yet. If your Lending Request is confirmed as accepted, your interest is earned from the very start of the new cycle, which opens at 6:01 am UTC on the same Tuesday, one minute after the previous cycle closes. It is not earned from the moment the Completed status appears, so the processing period costs you nothing.

Every request carries one of four statuses: Queued (submitted, cycle still open, can be cancelled), Processing (cycle closed, awaiting outcome), Completed (outcome confirmed; the detail line beneath says what happened), and Cancelled (you stopped it before the cycle closed). A request submitted while a previous cycle is still processing is Queued to the next open cycle.
